Fellow warriors in the fight against
bullshit VR marketing hype, it is time to rally! I say enough of stories of
headgear manufacturing delays and prototype games as much fun as watching paint
dry!
We demand content!
The purpose of technology is to enhance the
story, not become the story itself. Without creative content to enhance, all
those fancy headsets and 3D screens will rightfully wither as quickly as did
the glasses from the last 3D fad.
I call upon fellow creatives and supporters
of genuinely immersive content to join our fight at 11am on Tuesday April 19th
in the South Hall of NAB. I have weapons of VR war that will forever change the
discussion. But for now, we must be discreet or face the ire of the big players
that would have us all under their virtual thumb.
When the time is right, I will send more
message about the time and place of our rebellion. Until then, stay tuned and
keep under the virtual radar as best you can.
So wait, is there like an actual war happening... IN THE VIRTUAL REALITY WORLD!! Rally the troops Colonel, stay strong!!!
ReplyDeleteI have lost faith in the future generation of making great games that now a days seems to need VR
DeleteI demand good games instead of crap shooters!
ReplyDeleteYes, Derek, there is a real war in the virtual. We have virtual virtue on our side. And luckily I have the biggest virtual weapon ever imagined. Victory is ours!
